5 Landscaping Tips You need

Landscaping Tips

Are you the type of person who is interested in making the outside of your home as appealing as the inside? If so, you are not alone. However, you also know one thing to be true: landscaping is not as simple as it sounds.

Although you may be faced with a daunting task, don’t let this scare you away from getting started. With the five tips below, you can quickly take your landscape design to the next level:

Hire a Professional

Before we ever discuss other tips, this is one you must consider. If you don’t think you have what it takes to make changes on your own, you should hire a professional who can step in and do the job for you. All you have to do is direct them as to what you want, and from there everything will work out.

Have a Plan

One of the biggest mistakes you can make when it comes to landscaping is planting and making changes without a plan. You should layout your entire yard in advance, before you ever pick up a tool. From there, make changes until you are satisfied with the final layout. Only then should you get started.

Don’t go Overboard

Many people get so carried away that they end up with too many trees, shrubs, flowers, etc. You will never get to this point if you have a defined plan that will walk you through the landscaping process, one step at a time.

Do a Little Bit at a Time

Making big changes at the same time could end up in disaster. It is best to live with small changes for a while, ensuring that you like what you have done. This will also allow you to more easily see which changes you want to make in the future.

There is no denying the fact that you want to finish this project sooner rather than later, but don’t rush ahead so quickly that it causes you trouble.

Be Open to Change

Who says you have to keep the same basic design as you have right now? Who said you have to keep the same trees and bushes in place? You can make any changes you want, as long as you have the time, expertise, and money to do so. You should be open to change, as something fresh may be just what you have been dreaming of.

When it comes to landscaping, you need to take your time as you consider each and every option. There are going to be ideas you like and ideas you would rather overlook for the time being.

With the five tips above guiding you, getting started should be a simple task. Soon enough, you will be well on your way to making changes for the better. In the end, the only thing that matters is that you enjoy the final result – and that your neighbors take notice of all the changes!

Landscape Design and Installation

Green Planet Gardens Landscape Design and Installation
Our Philosophy

The landscape design and installation team at Green Planet Gardens have been creating exceptional gardens and outdoor living spaces for the most stylish homes and neighborhoods in Ogun and Lagos environ. We believe that a thoughtfully and artistically designed landscape extends your living space from the indoors to the outdoors, adds value to your property and provides priceless enjoyment for years to come.
We believe that the smallest of considerations add up to the biggest client satisfaction. We pride ourselves on our white-glove service throughout the entire landscape design and installation process, from the initial conceptualization until the last plant goes into the ground, and beyond.

Our Process

Our landscape design and installation process has been developed and shaped over the years and allows for the most harmonious, creative collaboration between our clients and our team.

The Green Planet Gardens Landscape Design and Installation Process

1. Initial Contact
Whether you come from the website or a referral, we value each and every potential client.

2. Site Visitation and Survey
Gbenga will visit your property, take pictures and brainstorm possibilities. The homeowner does not need to be available for this. For maximum creativity it is best for Gbenga to have this time on your property without the homeowner to brainstorm to get a feel for the environment.

3. Initial Meeting
We discuss the process, determine your design budget and get a good feel for who you are, your uses for the space, your style, likes and dislikes, etc. This meeting is held at our offices around Winners Chapel Ota. We ask that you please bring with you images, links of things you like, your survey and house plans.

4. Initial Design Meeting
We will have images, examples, and lay out on Cad paper so we can talk about the conceptual design of areas and review Gbenga’s Ideas.

5. Design Review Meetings
Gbenga will go over landscape design and budget and let you know the earliest installation dates that are available.
